Welcome to the SPNHC Wiki

The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) is an international society whose mission is to improve the preservation, conservation and management of natural history collections to ensure their continuing value to society. This wiki was created to foster that mission by allowing an open forum for museum professional to access, add and comment on documents, procedures, and practices related to natural history collections care. More information about SPNHC can be found at our website www.spnhc.org

The wiki was designed to allow easy access to information for members of our community. Viewing of most documents is open to the general public but access to edit or comment documents will require an account. Navigation around the wiki leads to documents on conservation, best practices and committee reports for example. In some cases we understand that the best information is already available on another site and links redirect there. Addition content can be found at our SPNHC YouTube Channel.

To access the comments about a specific page click on the Talk table along the top while on your desired page. You can follow along or participate once you have login privileges. If you have any additional questions, please contact the Best Practices Committee co-chairs, Emily Braker and Genevieve Tocci.
