Mariel Campbell is the Collection Manager for the Division of Genomic Resources in the Museum of Southwestern Biology (MSB DGR) at the University of New Mexico. The MSB Division of Genomic Resources is a natural history biorepository which archives frozen tissues from mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and parasites from associated museum specimens. Mariel has a master’s degree in zoology with focus on mammalian parasitology from the University of California at Davis and is currently in the PhD program in biology at the University of New Mexico. She has nearly two decades’ experience working with natural history collections.
