I am the Assistant Curator of Ichthyology at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County where I look after the Robert J. Lavenberg fish collection. My research focuses on determining the evolutionary relationships of fishes, discovering the factors that influence their diversity, and understanding the historical biogeography of coastal marine fishes.
