Work Experience: I've been a curatorial assistant in the Ichthyology Collection at the Harvard University Museum of Comparative Zoology since 2005. I experience maintaining and preparing wet specimens, shipping ethanol and formalin specimens, collection moves. I also have extensive experience in digitization, particularly imaging, including photography, radiography and computed tomography (CT). I "grew up" using MUSE database and am now contentedly working in MCZbase--the MCZ's unique instance of Arctos.
Professional Affiliations: He has been a member of SPNHC since 2008 and in 2015 joined the Best Practices committee.
Other Interests/Expertise: I enjoy woodworking and I'm proud I have never unintentionally rolled off the bed that I made myself. I'm proud to captain on our scrappy, perpetually underdog museum volleyball team, The Unnatural Selections. I also play as much softball as the summer and my knees allow. I also try to dabble in alpha-taxonomy when there is time, unfortunately, there's never time.
